When I brought this to my first gig it cracked within the first few minutes. Then I went back to the cameta receipt and saw that I had two weeks to return it. I drove to the place in Amityville (an hour and a half away). The guys there didn’t want to help me. I persisted and finally got another cord. This one has worked well.
This situation, after other similar ones, has made me want to switch to Nikon. Canon is great but I’ve had MANY problems with the flashes and flash cords.

Is Canon making these cords in China? Does anyone sees a different from the ones that are made in Japan?
Thanks

Very Pleased With the prouct. I’m using the cord with my Canon EOS Rebel Xt and Sigma EF-530 DG. They work well together.

For now, the product works well but be aware it is MADE IN CHINA. More annoying that the huge MADE IN CHINA white letter label, which appears on the top of my wonderful Japanese made camera when this cable is attached making the whole rig appear cheap, is the cost is certainly not reflectively of being MADE IN CHINA. I rarely buy knockoff brands but in this case, if I had known, given the country of origin and the price I would have bought an alternative.
